I’m Jonathan Melville, a writer, researcher and content strategist based in Edinburgh, Scotland. Over the past 20-odd years, I’ve worked across BBC broadcasting, publishing, the Scottish screen sector and the arts, tourism and heritage world. I write, edit, record, research and generally make content for people who need it done well and on time.
The common thread? I find things out, I shape them into something clear and engaging, and I deliver them in whatever format the project needs. A 90-minute audio commentary. A 300-word newspaper column. An 80,000-word book. A newsletter, a podcast episode, a social media campaign, a treatment for a BBC commissioner. The format changes; the process doesn’t.
